Kingsley

Kingsley Gallup
Owner/Publisher

Kingsley Gallup formed Gallup Publishing, LLC in 2018 to fulfill a lifelong dream of running a local publication. Tourist News, founded in 1959 and the first publication she would take on, soon became Tourist & Town, in order to appropriately capture the strong local readership Tourist & Town enjoys. Since 2018, Gallup Publishing has grown to include Tourist & Town Magazine and, most recently, The Village Magazine, a hyper-local monthly magazine serving the Kennebunks and abutting towns. Gallup's passion for print media goes back to early childhood and to fond memories of filling her arms each morning with newspapers from around the nation, scattered about at the end of the driveway, and delivering them to her father, a news-loving pollster who would devour each and every one over his morning coffee. Gallup has always enjoyed writing and in 2014 published her first book - Project Personal Freedom: Tips and Tools for a Liberated Life - a collection of user-friendly insights from Gallup's close to 20 years as a mental health professional. In 2018, Gallup was ready for a career shift and has been working as a publisher ever since. With an unwavering belief in the importance of print media, Gallup is determined to see local publications not only survive, but thrive. She lives in Kennebunk with her son Zach and daughter Daisy.
